Our partners in education
Danish Songwriting Academy was founded with assistance from Musikmakarna and runs on the same schedule as we are. Musikmakarna has entered into a cooperation agreement with DSA where we help to assure the quality and stand as a guarantor that the students graduating from DSA have a correspondingly high level. We also share our extensive network and arrange some Songwriting Camps together.
Novia University of Applied Sciences in Finland has established a cooperation agreement with Musikmakarna – the Songwriters Academy of Sweden. Together we have founded a Bachelor program for former Musikmakarna students as well as developed a brand new global Master in “Creative Music Production” based on equality and diversity, starting Fall 2023. Mutual Songwriting and educational projects are on-going and being planned.
Mellansels Folkhögskola, situated close to Örnsköldsvik, educates musicians and singer-songwriters and performs certain projects in collaboration with Musikmakarna.
Our projects
Sounds Like Sweden is a collaboration between Musikmakarna and the creative outdoor hub FriluftsByn. During three days our students get to stay in the inspirational environment of FriluftsByn to create new music that is performed in front of a live audience during the final evening.

Interreg Aurora - Nordic Music Creators is a project and network launched in 2024 to foster collaboration and innovation in the Nordic music industry. It connects music creators, entrepreneurs, and institutions, providing opportunities for networking, professional growth, and cross-border collaboration, with the aim of shaping a thriving creative community.

Female Songwriters Day was founded 2019 to pay attention to all Females and Non-Binaries being in minority in a very un-equal music business. This event takes place annually on the International Women's Day on March 8th and aims to encourage, respect and honor all Female and Non-Binary songwriters globally and make them more visible on the music charts around the world.
