From Musikmakarna to the Big Screen: Alumni Song Featured in Hollywood Film

A song that started in a studio at Musikmakarna has made its way all the way to the big screen! 🎬✨

We’re incredibly happy to see Musikmakarna alum Claire Soukup and her song “Cloud” featured in the new comedy film One Night Only, starring Monica Barbaro and Callum Turner.

The song was written together with fellow Musikmakarna alumni Melina Dahl, Marcus Persson and Stevan Brunzell - bringing together four songwriters with roots at Musikmakarna.

Seeing music created by our former students find its way into an international feature film and cinemas around the world is always something special. It’s a wonderful example of how songs born in the writing rooms and studios here in Örnsköldsvik can continue their journey far beyond Musikmakarna.

“One Night Only” is directed by Will Gluck, known for films including Easy A and Anyone But You.

The film is set for theatrical release in August 2027.
